We are back!
First I would like to dedicate this blog to an avid man of the sea...our friend Don May. Don, Jim and I are thrilled you finally cought on....we hope you follow our travels with us and you continue to enjoy them!
We had a wonderful time while off the boat, four weeks in all...Christmas in Florida and Colorado, New Years in Toronto and Collingwood and then a fabulous trip to Gautemala, Antigua and Lake Aitalan.
We are now settled in a lovely apartment in Lagoon Marina while the boat is next door in the La Ceiba shipyard. We are sorting out a few problems the boat had, as well as having the hull checked and cleaned. Hopefully we should be back out to explore the islands of Utila, Roatan and Guanaja, which are just off the coast of Honduras, by next week.
The weather is very hot by day, around 90, but cools off at night which makes for perfect sleeping. The no see-ums however, continue to arrive ( for cocktails ) exactly at 3:30 everyday.
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and are off to a great 2008....Captain Jim and I look forward to another exiting season on Margoline...who knows what is in store next?
