We finally left Texas Bay Marina, ( we were only going to stay one day, but stayed for three ) late this morning...we will miss the rowdy crowd, but it's now time to diet, dry out, and rest! We'll have great memories..Eric's infamous late night singing in the cockpit, Sherrie's accounting in the morning, "the Texas Slide" just some of them....
We had a short motor trip up the lake to Tortugal Marina. This is where Margoline will live, during hurricane season. She will be tied beside My Jo and hopefully Sea Dragon until January 2009, when we continue our voyage. We are med moored and cross a plank to get from the dock to the boats stern...we have also rigged a tarzan swing to cross over to each others boats from the side. Sometimes it can be quite precarious, but so far, no one has fallen in!
It is quiet here and very nice...a good pick for the long duration. It is also very close to the town, Fronteras, just a five minute dinhy ride away or a twenty minute walk.
